The Northwest Village WebStudio is an extension of our graphic design and desktop publishing business, Watershed Graphics. For over three decades we have been "playing around" with design, type, print and image. It really has become a part of our daily lives. For the last fifteen years, I've been involved in the web-side of things
designing websites, creating copy, scripting, publishing on the web, taking photographs, editing photographs
and simply trying to help people "get on the internet."
A small, home-based business we've never really had the urge to expand into becoming mainstream. Most of our clients are friends and local businesses (though I do occasionally handle a few international web accounts).
I work in basement and stay warm with a woodburner in the winter. Gail works upstairs in the family room and handles the desktop publishing realm of things - just about everything from brochures to manuscripts, and letterheads to newsletters.
Appointments and meetings around here are not much more than a cup of coffee and some fresh baked bread at the kitchen table. We like it that way. Going out to visit with a client is pretty much the same low-key manner.
Our WebStudio can handle just about every imaginable aspect of web design and content. We can be as involved, or removed, as a client desires.
I like to consider myself a webDesigner as opposed to being a webMaster. Organizing the presentation - creating content and image - is often hundreds of times more time consuming than the mechanics of simply getting a site online. I consider webPublishing as similar to traditional print and advertising. In combining the hands-on experience of these two, I feel we offer a pretty unique opportunity for our clients.
We welcome any questions you may have regarding our services - from design to hosting, domain registrations to rebuilds of existing websites.
